Teaching English Conversation to Learners
Although Thaiscan class ended earlier I thought, overall, it considered a success. The class good bad points I state here.
Good Points
1. Increased Student Self-Confidence When Speaking
At beginning class, students hesitant afraid speak class. At class students confidence speaking. This reflected increased amount free conversation questions asked students.
2. A Student-Centered Classroom
By time class concluded, classroom student-centered teacher-centered. My job teacher coach-like mentor observer.
3. Students Could Satisfy More Needs Using English
Within years I taught Thaiscan class, students changed English language foreign language. This evident students English classroom satisfy foreigners.
Bad Points
1. Class Sessions Were Too Long
Throughout length course, I quickly discovered hours long time conversation class. Classes exceeding 90 minutes 5-10 minute break ideal.
2. Class Members Were Mixed Ability
The class members individual progress class speaking ability.
3. Expecting Too Much Too Soon
At times class, I expecting students progress, progress quickly. It class proceeded slower occasions.
4. Students Not Having Enough Time Off Work Attend Class
Some students progress class attend classes.
Adult English conversation classes important EFL learner. If teacher adopts audio-lingual teaching method classroom student-centered, EFL learners quickly ESL learners English satisfy needs.
